Theo Chocolate Factory Tour: September 2, 2009

The cost is $6 each, payable to Theo Chocolates. Theo Chocolates closes at 6 p.m., so if you want to browse through the store please show up early.  If people are interested, we can go out for a snack / drink afterward.

About Theo: Theo Chocolate is the only organic, free trade, bean-to-bar chocolate factory in the US. The tour includes the story of cacao, including the extraordinary transformation of the cacao fruit into what we know and love as chocolate and the social and environmental issues relating to cocoa and cocoa farmers. Seeking Communications & Marketing Board Members

net impact seattle sustainabilityWe are currently looking for board members and volunteers interested in working on the Communications & Marketing Committee. If you have an interest in CSR and some marketing or social media knowledge, this is a great volunteer role to boost your experience and work with a great group of like-minded people!

Responsibilities include:
- Management of the Net Impact Seattle website – no technical skills required
- Events communications support
- Creation of monthly newsletter
- Cross promotion of relevant events and organizations in the Seattle area
- Exploration and use of social media outlets to promote events and stay in touch with member base
- Management of google group

Ideal Candidates will:
- Have an interest in corporate responsibility
- Can commit to a 1-year term (renewal option for additional years)
- Can attend one board meeting a month, plus one or two half day planning sessions per year
- Attend, and help plan, monthly Net Impact events
- Lead a committee
