Scott Jenkins, VP of Operations for the Seattle Mariners, will speak to us about impressive environmental achievements in the stadium. For instance, the stadium boasts a 75% recycling rate! Additionally, between 2006 and 2009 the Mariners reduced natural gas use by 60%, electricity use by 30%, and water use by 15% which saved over $1 million in utility costs. Also hear how this work has influenced the MLB and other professional sports leagues through the Green Sports Alliance. The discussion will be followed by a brief tour and the Mariners vs. the Blue Jays game at 7:10pm.
