You’ve been hearing bits and pieces about our board transition, and it’s almost complete! What an amazing group of professionals we have at the leadership table. There’s a great mix of returning board members who were pivotal in shaping the chapter, as well as new volunteers anxious to help drive our programming to the next level. What do you do and why did you join Net Impact?
I recently finished my International MBA at Schulich in June and returned to the Seattle area where I have been traveling a bit – Glacier National Park, Eugene, Vancouver, BC and San Francisco – reconnecting with friends and networking with organizations in the Northwest. I joined Net Impact when I was working in Portland and trying to implement sustainable initiatives in my work. I enjoyed talking with people of a similar mindset who were considering many of the same questions and were more than willing to offer advice. I ultimately decided on Schulich because a friend in the professional chapter told me about her experience. [...]
Net Impact Board Member Ariyah DeSouza has been working for almost a year with Net Impact National to develop the brand new program “Impact at Work”. It’s geared towards providing immediate, approachable ways to make an impact in any company, at any level.
If this sounds like something you’d like, come see the pilot materials unveiled Wednesday, August 25th at 7:00 PM at Pier 56. We’re hoping for some great feedback to relay to National to help make this program one of Net Impact’s strongest. Pizza provided!
